He played for four hours! And then grandma found him leaning against the basketball pole, all tuckered out.

Oh, Kate!

Sister, you send the best packages.
They are perfectly timed and I get them on the days when I'm needing some lovin' the most.

Lucky me, our house recently acquired a rebounder! A rebounder is the fancy name for an upscale mini-trampoline. Outside of a few outdoor activities, cardio exercise does not get me excited. But THIS, oh this, thrills me.

An arctic landscape

A fresh pair of sheets is always a treat. The shift into winter fabrics is especially enjoyable, extra cozy.

What we'll do

We'll go into business together.

And we'll not only make art, we'll support other artists who do the same. We won't let people forget that what they see and what they make matters.

And we'll wear whatever we want, feel good in it and inspire others to do the same. We'll paint our homes in rich colors and have interesting conversation pieces on every shelf. And we won't feel guilty for not dusting those conversation pieces as frequently as they need it.

We'll do crossword puzzles and math problems to keep our left cerebral hemisphere alive. We'll take naps. We'll counter our coffee consumptions with drinking lots of water. We'll write letters and seal them with wax.

That's what we'll do.

a feeble drawing
like a feeble life
lacks presence

tentatively created
under pressure to do "right"
too carefully stitched together
merely tracing edges

a rich drawing
like a rich life
oozes presence

created with the knowing marks
of a trusting hand
using humble authority
to be perfectly imperfect

The Antiques District, a secret garden

I could live here on cool days.

"Eddie Delahunt's Cafe &"

I'm a huge fan of crumbly topping. And apples. These apples
are from our backyard apple tree--how cool is that?
